Let me be honest for a minute. Weddings are crazy. Yeah, I said it! We spend all this time planning, dreaming, imagining, designing, and creating all for one day. The flowers, church, music, centerpieces, color pallet…every little detail is planned to perfection. Weeks, months, and sometimes years of preparation all lead up the one moment-“I do”. And after all that planning, that one day seems to wiz by faster than you know it, but it leaves an ever lasting impact on your heart.

When I met Leah and Heath I knew they were something special. Although we were hours a part, I could still feel their infectious personalities through the screen (hats off to the creators of Skype, yo). Years ago they met on a blind date set up by their friends. Shortly after meeting, Leah left for India and I’m sure they thought that was it. However, it wasn’t just another date. The stars aligned, they came back together upon Leah’s return, and here they are now…one of the most beautiful newlywed couples out there. Their wedding was filled with so many hugs, smiles, laughter, and definitely many happy tears (and a few from me, too!)

I am so lucky to be one of the hundreds of details that a couple chooses to incorporate into their fairytale. Throughout all of the planning and preparation, I am so honored when amazing couples like Leah and Heath choose me to stand by their side on one of the biggest days of their life. Giving the gift of photography, an everlasting memory of that “one day”, is one of the greatest blessings I thank God for. I wouldn’t trade the wedding “craziness” for anything.

So here’s to you, Leah and Heath. Thank you for being a rock star couple who’s day was almost as beautiful as you two. Cheers!
