Every once in a while, a senior session comes along that checks every box—fun, personal, meaningful, and full of variety. Dani’s senior photos in downtown Wayzata were exactly that. From hockey gear and race car energy to soft wildflower moments and golden hour at the docks… this session had a little bit of everything, and I loved every second.

Hockey Senior Photos to Start the Session

We kicked off the session in downtown Wayzata with Dani’s hockey jersey and captain accessories—because when you’ve worked that hard to earn that “C,” it deserves some camera time. The attitude? Perfect. The confidence? Immaculate.

These photos were the perfect mix of bold, sporty, and fun—very “this is who I am, and I’m proud of it.”

Wildflowers + White Dress = Pure Summer Aesthetic

After the downtown shots, we headed to a nearby field where the wildflowers were definitely showing off. Dani wore a classic white dress, and the combo of soft wildflower florals, warm sun, and breezy movement made these some of my favorite images of the entire night.

If “timeless senior photos” and “Pinterest summer board” had a baby, it would be this portion of her session.

Race Car Helmet Moment (Yes, It Was as Cool as It Sounds)

Most seniors bring their hobbies or letter jackets… Dani brought her race car helmet—and it instantly became the star of the show. It was unique, personal, and added such an awesome contrast to the softer photos we took earlier in the field.

If you ever want your senior gallery to scream “this is my personality,” bring props like this! 10/10 recommend.

Sunset on the Wayzata Docks

We wrapped up the night on the Wayzata docks near COV, just in time for sunset. The golden light reflecting off the lake and the pop of blue with Dani’s dress created the most perfect ending. These images have that classic Minnesota lake-town feel—warm, relaxed, and a little bit magical.

Family Photos to Finish the Night

Before we officially called it a wrap, we took a few family photos-one of my favorite ways to end a session. Senior year is such a big milestone for everyone, and capturing that moment with the whole family always feels special.
